This conference is open for all engineering students to attend.
CFES President's Meeting October 3-5 2008 @ Sherbrooke This conference is run by the Canadian Federation of Engineering Students, and is intended to inform the Engsocs across Canada of the current projects the CFES is undertaking. The primary reason for this is to gain input from the representatives of the Engineering Societies to develop the programs, and ensure that the CFES is doing exactly what is required by them. It is also used to prepare the schools for the upcoming CFES Congress, which is the Annual General Meeting of the CFES. This conference cannot does not require an application form, and the representative is hand selected by the RESS board of directors. The representative is typically one that is the most knowledgeable about the CFES and will give the most input.

CFES Complementary Education Courses (CE Courses) Held throughout the summer @ Various schools across Canada Although technically not considered a conference, various schools organize Complementary Education Courses across Canada, with the help of the CFES. They are designed to allow students the opportunity to enhance their engineering education by providing a one-week course on various wide-ranging topics. RESS was the first EngSoc in Canada to host such an event five summers ago in August of 2003. Since then, approximately 15 CE courses have been held at universities from coast to coast across Canada including Simon Fraser (in BC) and Dalhousie (in Nova Scotia.) Look for an update on CE course information after CFES Congress in January. Registration is usually limited to 20-25 delegates per course. For more information about the complimentary education courses, come into the office and ask or check out the Canadian Federation of Engineering Students website at www.cfes.ca
